On Sunday June 4 at 9:30 AM, the UofT Run Club set out on a 7k run to Craig’s Cookies through Christie Pitts Park and Dufferin Grove Park. With summer in full swing, it was hot during the run. We made sure to stop for water twice – always make sure to have water fountains planned out during your summer runs!
The group tried our best attempt at The Rockettes signature kick at Christie Pitts, bringing us back to the old days of show dances.
We ran our way through Dufferin Grove park and managed to find the one working fountain of the many located in the park. We ended the run at Craig’s Cookies (1332 Queen’s Street) and tried out their plethora of cookie options.
Here are the reviews:
“Chocolaty and yummy. Good vibes. Small, quaint, and the people are cool 4/5.”
“Their pride cookie is beautiful and full of joy and rainbows. Amazing and colourful. Cookie is so good I’ve had it twice. 5/5.”
“I had the Kinder Bueno and Snickers cookie. The Kinder Bueno is amazing it changed my life. The perfect choice. Kudos to the chef and the run club for bringing me this experience.”
“Perfect amount of melted chocolate and crunchy dough. Melts and blends in the mouth in a scrumptious manner 10/10.”
“Seems like a normal cookie store to me. I can tell from the smell it is too sweet for me. If you like sweet stuff, you would like the stuff here. I like how the cookies are handmade and in an irregular shape.”
“[Cookie] Shape is cute and the water is good.”
“The Kinder Bueno cookie is the best cookie I have ever had in my life. It is sweet and chocolatey while being somewhat salty. I also like that they gave us water. They are nice; awesome chill vibes 5/5.”
“I don’t mind the cookies they sell here. I usually look for unusual cookies so it was a nice experience coming here. Good vibes and the people are nice 5/5.”
Overall people seemed to enjoy the cookies. I think Craig’s Cookies have their own unique flavour featuring a mix of sweet and saltiness. I don’t think these cookies are for everyone, however they do fit a taste niche that is difficult to find elsewhere.
