A perfect November Sunday saw our running crew take on the hidden trails of Toronto. Starting at UC’s iconic steps, we embarked on a 12k adventure through Nordheimer Ravine and Cedarvale Park – two of the city’s most beautiful natural spaces.
The route led us through winding paths and rolling hills, with fall foliage creating a stunning backdrop for our morning run. These trails might be tucked away in the heart of the city, but they delivered that perfect escape we all needed.
After putting in the work on the trails, we regrouped at Haute Coffee on Dupont Street. There’s something special about sharing a post-run coffee with fellow runners who just experienced the same journey – tired legs, accomplished smiles, and all.
While this was definitely one of our more challenging routes (shoutout to everyone who tackled their first 12k!), it showcased what our running community is all about: exploring the city’s hidden gems together. For those just starting their running journey, we always recommend joining our 5k runs first to build up to these longer adventures.
Looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces on the trails for our next run. Stay tuned for more routes and good times ahead.
